Communication with FT4000 Printer

The printer (as hardware) consists of three main parts:

  • Physical printer – device for printing documents.
  • CHDU5000 – certified storage for saving submitted documents in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • FT4000 Hardware – hardware part of printer that communicates with CHDU5000 and controls printing.

Communication with the printer is only possible using the TM5000WIN print manager.

The printer communicates with the master application via:

  • ✔ Serial port RS232
  • ✔ USB port (virtual COM port)
