FT5000 Printer Activation

The FT5000 printer must be activated before starting sales.

Activation is performed by uploading identification and authentication data to the CHDÚ via the printer’s web interface.

Important: If CHDÚ data activation is not performed, the printer communicates only through the web interface. After CHDÚ activation, communication with the printer via TCP/IP, RS232, or USB interface is possible.

Network Requirements

  • Access to: https://ekasa.financnasprava.sk (TCP 443 and 80)
  • For remote support: rdm-server.varos.sk (TCP 1194)
  • Updates: update.varos.sk
  • NTP synchronization: ntp.ubuntu.com (UDP 123)

Important: The firewall must not block these addresses/ports during activation and normal operation.

Uploading Authentication Data

  1. Turn on the printer — it should be in ON-line status within 90 seconds. Use the left middle LED to check the status:

    • Lit - Printer was successfully activated and is ON-line.
    • Blinking - FS servers or internet connection unavailable.
  2. If CHDÚ is empty (not activated), the printer will print a LOG file with information about the IP address for WEB activation.

  3. Open a web browser and enter the printer’s IP address (or use the printed address).

  4. Log in to the interface as administrator:

    • Administrator: ft5000servis / ft5000setup
      • Authorized to change communication settings and upload activation data.
    • User: ekasa / predaj
      • Authorized to view issued document history and closure overview.
  5. Select the Configuration / Activation tab.

  6. Upload identification and authentication XML files:

    • Select Identification XML (IDENT)
    • Select Authentication XML (AUTH)
    • Enter certificate password
    • By checking “Process new activation data” a header with activation data will be automatically printed for confirmation. If you agree, continue by pressing the CONFIRM key on the printer.
    • Check “Restart FT5000” if the printer needs to be restarted after upload
  • Click SAVE to upload data to CHDÚ

Note: Each CHDÚ has unique identification data — when replacing CHDÚ, the password must be entered again.
